Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of Back Road Pickup's waste collection service. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
The Service
Back Road Pickup provides scheduled residential waste collection for properties in our service area. Pickups occur on a set weekly schedule assigned at signup.
Waste Disposal
Back Road Pickup warrants that all solid waste collected under this agreement will be transported and disposed of at a licensed solid waste disposal facility in compliance with applicable Tennessee solid waste regulations. Customer agrees that Back Road Pickup is not responsible for any waste not placed in the designated collection area at the time of scheduled pickup.
Accepted Materials
We collect bagged household trash and broken-down cardboard boxes. All bags must be tied or knotted and sturdy enough to be lifted without tearing. Cardboard must be broken down flat. Bins must be at the road or end of your driveway by 7:00 AM on your pickup day.
We do not collect:
- Appliances (refrigerators, microwaves, washers, dryers, water heaters)
- Yard waste (grass clippings, leaves, branches, brush, dirt)
- Hazardous materials (paint, chemicals, motor oil, gasoline, propane tanks, pesticides)
- Tires
- Construction debris (lumber, drywall, shingles, concrete)
- Electronics (TVs, computers, monitors)
- Medical waste or sharps
- Liquids, including paint in open cans
Items left at the curb that fall outside these guidelines are not our responsibility and will not be collected.
Billing
Service is billed monthly on a recurring basis. Your subscription renews automatically each month until canceled. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file at each renewal.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting us. Cancellation removes your auto-renewal — your service continues through the end of the current billing period at no additional charge. We do not issue prorated refunds for partial months.
Liability
Back Road Pickup is not liable for damage to bins, containers, or property at the curb during normal pickup operations. We are not responsible for any items left at the curb that do not meet our accepted materials guidelines.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email if changes materially affect your service. Continued use of the service after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee.
